Wednesday’s loss to OKC was brutal. No other way to put it. They scored only 24 points in the first half, the lowest total since 2018. Afterward, Jordi Fernandez didn’t dodge it, saying the team just didn’t have the “readiness to play.”
They need to have that readiness Friday. Even if they lose, this one has to feel different. There’s a basic level of pride and effort that need to be present — especially with the Knicks in town and their fans ready to flood Barclays Center.
