On a late September episode of Collision, after withstanding Triangle of Madness’ latest attack, Jamie Hayter threw out a challenge to Thekla and her Sinful Sisters, Julie Hart & Skye Blue… Blood & Guts!
It looked AEW would run a women’s version of their War Games-equivalent for the first time when this year’s Blood & Guts show rolled around.
Hayter’s picked up allies as the feud’s continued, but we haven’t heard much more about Blood & Guts. With the episode of Dynamite dedicated to the two-rings, one-cage, multi-wrestler staggered-entry war just a couple weeks away, and the regular men’s match official as of this past Wednesday, AEW is going to tell us more about the women’s match tonight (Nov. 1) on Collision.
AEW’s head honcho Tony Khan told us as much in a video on social media last night.
Other than Hayter and the Triangle of Madness trio, there were no clear indications of the line-up for the first Women’s Blood & Guts. It would make sense for Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford to be on the heel team, and they were apparently set for it… until Ford’s injury threw a wrench in TK’s plans for Blood & Guts, just as it did the ongoing Women’s Tag Title Tournament. There, Marina Shafir was the first to volunteer for Ford’s spot, and will fill in as Megan Bayne’s partner as they take on Miranda Alize and the former Tegan Nox, Nixon Newell, on Collision tonight.
If Jon Moxley’s lieutenant is replacing Ford on Nov. 12 in Greensboro, North Carolina, Khan isn’t saying yet. He said we’ll get additions to and other announcements about Women’s Blood & Guts on the pre-taped Fright Night Collision.
What do you think the line-up for Women’s Blood & Guts will be? Weigh in below, and join us for our coverage of Collision tonight and we’ll find out together!
