The Cincinnati Bengals will be traveling to take on the Houston Texans in Week 2. A couple of big names showed up on the injury report to start the week that are big deals for both sides.
Obviously, it doesn’t get bigger than Joe Burrow for the Bengals. This team needs him in order to get deep in the playoffs. His back soreness doesn’t sound like a big deal yet, but the last thing you want is this lingering all season long. It does sound like he will certainly be ready for Sunday.
Texans wide receiver
Nico Collins, unfortunately, may be looking at missing some times after suffering a hamstring injury yesterday in practice. We don’t know how severe it is, but it certainly doesn’t sound good for this Sunday. That would be a fairly big blow as the team was already without Tank Dell and Jayden Higgins at the position as well.
We will have to wait and see how these two players progress, and how much of an impact it could have on the game.

Quick Hits | Big Game Joe Burrow Says He’ll Be Ready For This One Vs. AFC South Power Texans
It usually takes something fairly serious to keep Burrow out. He isn’t the kind of player to simply take himself out if he is in some discomfort. It sounds like he and the team are just making sure he keeps the injury manageable during practice.
Notable former Bengals pick, release signs with 49ers after all
McKinnley Jackson never really was able to carve out a role after being drafted in the Third Round of the 2024 NFL Draft. It was certainly a big miss by the Bengals to already have him on another team, but they really attacked that position this offseason. Still, a third round pick is nothing to take lightly.
Bengals Offensive Line Dominates Trenches Against Buccaneers During Week 1 Win
I is funny to think there were people who thought Cincinnati was doing a disservice to Burrow by trading away the No. 10 overall pick for Dexter Lawrence instead of drafting an offensive lineman. It is just crazy how people will just say something without knowing what they are talking about.

Seahawks rule out Sam Darnold for Week 2, don’t plan to put QB on IR; Drew Lock to start vs. Cards
Luckily the Seahawks are only playing the Arizona Cardinals this week. Also their team is built around a strong defense and running play action off a strong run game. Something that can keep the ship afloat while Darnold is out.
NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Seahawks leapfrog Broncos and Rams into No. 1 spot; Chiefs hit top 10
It has certainly been awhile since we’ve seen the Bengals in the Top 5 of a power ranking. That is what happens when you show that you finally have a defense that can actually create stops and turnovers to go with the Burrow led offense.
Lions vs. Bills: Three must-know storylines for Thursday’s Week 2 prime-time game
Get ready to watch two high power offenses get to go against two suspect defenses. This game should have plenty of scoring and big plays. Certainly a change of pace from last week’s Wednesday and Thursday night games.
