David Benavidez (31-0, 25 KO) will put his undefeated record on the line later tonight (Sat., May 2, 2026) LIVE on DAZN and Amazon Prime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the WBA and WBC light heavyweight champion moves up a division to challenge Mexican champion Zurdo Ramirez (48-1, 30 KO) for the WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles.
Benavidez, 29, is coming off a successful light heavyweight title defense over Anthony Yarde last November before announcing his impending
move to cruiserweight. The pound-for-pound standout has racked off five-straight title fight wins so it makes sense to step outside his comfort zone (again) and try to win another belt. Ramirez, 34, has only lost to Dmitry Bivol in his pro boxing career so he should be able to give Benavidez all he can handle on Saturday night.
Luckily, boxing fans will get more action before Benavidez and Ramirez throw down in the headliner. DAZN and Amazon Prime will offer up a free “Prelims” stream airing LIVE in the above video player beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. The “Benavidez vs. Zurdo” undercard will feature the following matchups:
- Super middleweight: Daniel Blancas vs. Raul Salomon
- Light heavyweight: Juan Carrillo vs. Marlo Delgado
- Lightweight: Dylan Capetillo vs. James William Pierce III
