What is the story about?
Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (2-2)
ROCHESTER 5, SYRACUSE 1 / 7 (BOX)
Thanks to a pair of errors by Ji Hwan Bae- though Carl Edwards didn’t help himself by walking a pair of batters and allowing five balls to be put in play- the Red Wings jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Ronny Mauricio blasted a home run in the bottom of the fourth to get Syracuse on the board, but it just wasn’t their afternoon- which is a shame, because it was opening day at NBT Bank Stadium. Making matters worse, it was a rainy afternoon upstate
and after a half-hour rain delay, the game was called early.
