The final Champions League knockout bracket is set, and Chelsea’s path to a potential trophy will have to go through Paris once again. In a rematch of this summer’s Club World Cup final, and of many Champions League campaigns of yore, we will face PSG in the Round of 16 of this season’s Champions League.
The first leg will be away, the week of March 10th, with the home leg to follow at the Bridge a week later. Getting it done over two legs might be tougher than doing it in a single knockout match,
but we have shown an ability to rise to the occasion, so we’ll just have to do so again.
And that theme would certainly have to continue were to advance to the quarterfinals, and maybe beyond, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich all on our side of the bracket. But to be the best, you’ve got to beat the best, as they say!
The Round of 16 matchups are as follows:
PSG vs. CHELSEA
Galatasaray vs. Liverpool
Real Madrid vs. Manchester City
Atalanta vs. Bayern MunichNewcastle United vs. Barcelona
Atlético Madrid vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Bodø/Glimt vs. Sporting CP
Bayer Leverkusen vs. Arsenal
