This may be your best chance to see a future UFC champion for cheap.
On Monday, UFC issued a press release revealing that the promotion would be selling tickets to its Contender Series events for the first time. Better yet, the tickets start at a very affordable $25, though the final number is closer to $43 after taxes and fees. Still, in a sport where fans are struggling with being “priced out” by ever-increasing ticket costs, it’s great to see a cheaper option.
The release reads, “UFC returns to
Meta APEX in Las Vegas with the 10th season of Dana White’s Contender Series this upcoming Tuesday, August 11. For the first time in the show’s history, fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for $25 (plus applicable fees) to the all-action hit show in the newly renovated Meta APEX. DANA WHITE’S CONTENDER SERIES® SEASON 10 tickets are now available for purchase at AXS.com. Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person.“
Indeed, the revamped Meta Apex was a pleasant change at last weekend’s UFC Vegas 120 event. The venue can now seat about 1200 fight fans, which made for a much more lively experience. The fact that fans will now be able to attend Contender Series events is an added bonus and overall positive change.
Contender Series began in July 2017 and is now the vehicle for majority of new UFC signings. In the near decade that the show has operated, it has produced four UFC champions, including current 205-pound kingpin Carlos Ulberg.
The tenth season of Contender Series kicks off tomorrow evening (Tues., Aug. 11, 2026) and will feature a pair of main event Heavyweight prospects in Matt Adams versus Fury FC Heavyweight champion Anthony Wint. In addition, highly-touted Flyweight prospect Bilal Hasan aims to earn a UFC contract by taking out Mridul Saikia.
