Lamine Yamal’s season has been disrupted by pubalgia issues and the teenager is still not quite back to 100% yet, according to Deco.
Barcelona’s sporting director has been asked about the teenager’s fitness
after Sunday’s Super Cup win over Real Madrid and says he’s still some way off his very best form.
“He’s doing well, improving little by little,” he told RAC1.
“He’s getting better. He’s not at 100% because he’s coming back from an injury, but he’s already returning to training and recovering his best level.”
Yamal has still managed nine goals and ten assists for Barcelona in 23 appearances so far this season, although he could get a rest next time out when Hansi Flick’s side take on Racing in the Copa del Rey.
Flick is expected to rotate his team for the match, with Roony Bardghji and Marcus Rashford expected to start the game in Santander on Thursday night.
