Beneil Dariush vs. Benoit Saint Denis squared off in a catchweight bout earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 15, 2025) at UFC 322 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
Dariush opened the fight
with a pair of heavy low kicks. Right away, the veteran was swinging hard, committing full power to his punches. His second low kick floored Saint Denis for a brief moment, and Dariush charged forward with heavy swings. Saint Denis met him in the clinch and fired back, clubbing Dariush with a left hook on the break of the clinch.
Dariush face-planted onto the canvas! The whole exchange lasted just 16 seconds.
Well … Saint Denis’ third attempt to break into the Top 10 went a whole lot better, didn’t it? Dariush played right into his hands by engaging so willingly from the first bell. Saint Denis is a tremendous athlete with a brick chin and great power — not the man to trade wild punches with in the literal opening seconds of the fight. We never got to see how Saint Denis’ wrestling matched up with Dariush’s jiu-jitsu, because Saint Denis smoked him too quickly!
Now riding a three-fight win streak, Saint Denis is once again a relevant Lightweight contender.
Result: Saint Denis defeats Dariush via knockout
