The Steelers’ 10-point loss to the Green Bay Packers sounded even worse Sunday night, with Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin saying three players suffered injuries he deemed “significant.”
Starting safety
DeShon Elliott and defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale (once again called “significant” by Tomlin) have a knee injuries, Tomlin said in his postgame press conference , adding starting guard Isaac Seumalo has a pectoral strain.
None of those three players returned to the field after being injured. After Seumalo went down, the Steelers didn’t return to heavy usage of their six offensive linemen package they had been using earlier in the game as Spencer Anderson slid into the starting left guard position.
Tomlin didn’t mention any injuries related to Darius Slay missing snaps or a hit that left tight end Pat Freiermuth slow to get up.
Tomlin said he’d have more specific injury updates later in the week.
The Steelers will next take the field on Nov. 2 against the Indianapolis Colts.
