What is the story about?

We’ve heard good things about Juggalo Championship Wrestling during Vince Russo’s time as the Creative Director of the Insane Clown Posse-founded promotion… and there’s a sentence I never expected to be typing.

But if Russo’s presence on the JCW creative team, and its programming, was keeping you from checking out the promotion’s weekly YouTube show Lunacy, this news may be for you. Last night (Sept. 22), Russo posted on X/Twitter that he was’d recently amicably parted ways with ICP’s wrestling brand:

To my BELOVED Supporters,

Over the past few weeks I have received many e-mails, dms and text messages concerning my status with @jcwlunacy .

For those of you who know me, you know I don’t hide from the truth, I don’t avoid the truth and I certainly don’t lie about the truth. The reason for my silence was that . . . I just didn’t know. I just needed some time. I’d been unhappy for a while in @jcwlunacy and I’m not going to deny that. Something had to change.

Without getting into specifics, there were a lot of reasons with the biggest one being that at 65 . . . I’m not the same guy I was 30 years ago. Things have changed, life has changed and more importantly . . . I’ve changed.

A short while ago I had a phone conversation with Violent J and we have amicably agreed to part ways.

Hey man, it was supposed to be for a few weeks, maybe a couple of months, but we KILLED IT for an entire year.

So now . . . it’s time to move on. What the future holds . . . we shall see.

I’d like to thank Violent J—one of the kindest, gentlest, most creative souls I have ever met in my life, the @jcwlunacy locker room—who treated me with the utmost respect, and the entire crew who worked their ARSES off every day.

Yeah, it was a wild ride . . . but, now . . . maybe I can finally take that nap.

We’re guessing the future still holds Vinny Ru telling his followers how WWE and AEW are screwing up by not catering to the elusive “casuals” on his various platforms, but we shall see. We’d never begrudge a man for wanting to take a nap, that’s for sure.
