Lead Rumor: No heat in scary Bron Breakker spot
There was one hell of a scare for WWE this past weekend during the company’s run through Hawaii for a pair of shows. Bron Breakker did a Frankensteiner on LA Knight and it went wrong, with Bron taking a bad fall to the mat.
When I say bad fall, you need to see it to believe it. It certainly looked like he came entirely too close to breaking his neck.
The good news is he worked Monday Night Raw this week and even looked like his usual, awesome self. The word from WrestleVotes is WWE wanted to downplay
the entire incident. What’s more, there was no heat on anybody for the spot.
Things happen in a business like this.
On we go.
Other rumors floating around
- Bryan Alvarez noted on his X that Damian Priest did indeed make the call to end the match with R-Truth early once he saw Truth was injured. He’s received praise for doing so well staying in character in the situation.
- Per WrestleVotes, the internal reaction at WWE to Ilja Dragunov signing with AEW and debuting at WrestleDream was largely positive all around. Everyone, including management, wish him well.
- More from Votes: They say they haven’t heard anything about WWE running another Evolution event, and “it won’t become an annual thing that people thought coming off last year’s show.” They also said they don’t think it’s coming anytime soon, if at all.
- Fightful Select clarified the Kairi Sane situation, saying she needs to reach a deal with a US based promotion to even start the process of getting her visa worked out. She has not signed and still has multiple offers in Japan.
- PW Insider threw some water on the TNA meeting with talent about new deals rumor, saying they do talent meetings before shows and it was simply one remark among many that they are going to get deals done. It was not “a major focus during the meeting.”
You heard anything? Share it. Or just talk about all this. That works too.
