While Bayern Munich ultimately fell short in their match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, the majority of fans will walk away with serious optimism for the second leg in Munich. After going down 5-2, the Bavarians managed to score two more goals and come very close to equalizing by the end of the match in Paris.
“Although we lost the game, we showed what kind of team we are and that we can deal with setbacks, despite questionable decisions by the referee like the penalty and a couple
of small fouls here and there. In the end, it’s just 1-0. We know we can win by two goals at home. We’re confident and we’ll give everything next week to reach the final,” said Tah after the match against Paris Saint-Germain (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Tah was bang-on with this statement and you don’t have to look far for other examples of a Bayern comeback in recent weeks with Mainz 05, SC Freiburg, and most notably, Real Madrid for these resilient results.
While Bayern also suffered a lead to Paris as well, it is an absolute testament to the perseverance of this team to bring back the tie, especially when you consider the team was without their manager Vincent Kompany on the touchline for this match.
