A familiar face popped up on the latest episode of ROH TV (Oct. 16, 2025). Isla Dawn made her debut in ROH. The former WWE women’s tag team champion has new partners and a feud brewing already.
Dawn was in mixed trios action with the Grizzled Young Veterans. But first, Dawn spoke with Lexy Nair backstage about this opportunity in ROH. The Scot was interrupted by Mark Sterling and the Premier Athletes. When Dawn sassed back, the giant Stori Denali stepped in. GYV had Dawn’s back.
In the ring, Dawn and GYV grit their teeth to handle business against Carolina Cruz, Gabriel Aeros, & Javi. After mixing it up with Cruz, Dawn showed spunk when Aeros ordered her to leave the ring. Dawn responded with a headbutt. That was the beginning of the end. Dawn grabbed Cruz for a modified dragon sleeper, while GYV executed the high low combo to pin Aeros.
After the match, Tony Nese and Ari Daivari ambushed James Drake and Zack Gibson. Dawn got in Nese’s face only to be attacked from behind by Denali for a chokeslam.
Feud on! That Premier Athletes trios combination is undefeated. Naturally, this should set up a future showdown against Dawn and GYV.
As for the new partnership, it stems from Drake being one of Dawn’s best friends. Being such good friends is why Dawn had to shoot down rumors of dating Drake in a recent interview with Daily Star. When asked to set straight a misconception or rumor about her, Dawn replied while laughing:
There’s one rumor that I date James Drake, which I really want to make clear that we have never. The internet thinks that and I’m like, “No.” I hate – no, I don’t hate. I love him. He’s my best friend. That is probably the only one that I see sometimes and I’m like, “No!”
