Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich was at least a bit wary of how things would go against Hamburger SV.
Coming off of an international break and with Chelsea looming on Wednesday in the Champions League, Kimmich did not want to see his squad overlook Der Dino.
That would not be a concern as Bayern Munich scored two early goals on the way to a 5-0 victory.
“We had a great start to the game. I think we were 2-0 up after 8 minutes. The first half in particular was very good. We played with a lot of
power, we did very well off the ball and took a 4-0 lead. The second half was a bit calmer,” said Kimmich.
Now, the focus will shift to Chelsea in what should be a massive showdown on Wednesday. Are you ready? More importantly, is Bayern Munich?
Bayern Munich returned to action in the Bundesliga by hosting Hamburger SV and just crushed the visitors.
The Bavarians took home a 5-0 victory in a game that was never close. Bayern Munich was dominant from the outset and wasted little time in giving Hamburg a not so friendly welcome back to Germany’s top flight.
