Good morning, baseball fans!
We are less than one week away from the 2026 MLB trade deadline. Which means it’s time to fire off our best/worst trade deadline predictions for the San Francisco Giants.
Personally, I think they should be aggressive sellers. Trade everyone you can and throw in parts of the ballpark if that will get deals done. I never feel this way, I get quite attached to players and don’t want to see them go. And I do still feel that way about a lot of players on this year’s team, but
I also would be very happy if they were traded to a functional organization with an interest in competitive baseball.
Do I think that they will be aggressive sellers? Not particularly. At least not in the way that I think they should. This team has been begging for a full rebuild for over a decade now but they have yet to commit to that, so I don’t really see that changing this year. I think we’ll see a few moves, such as Luis Arraez and maybe a pitcher or two.
But I’d be happy to be wrong.
