The Cleveland Browns have decided to get ahead of moves for their initial 53-man roster, despite their final preseason game on Thursday night

On Wednesday, the Browns waived two players and did not replace them, nor were any workouts reported.A lot of the excitement around Cleveland’s young roster comes from the additions of WRs KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston to go along with RB Quinshon Judkins and TE Harold Fannin Jr. Even second-year WR Isaiah Bond seems primed to have a big role in HC Todd
Monken’s offense this year.
WR Cedric Tillman’s spot on the roster was up in the air after the team spent first- and second-round picks on receivers. That is no longer the case, as the Browns have reportedly released Tillman on the same day as their matchup with the New England Patriots tonight:
In three seasons and 38 games, Tillman has recorded 71 receptions for 833 yards and five touchdowns. Three games in 2024, where he combined for over 250 yards and three touchdowns, provided a blip of excitement about what the former 74th overall pick could achieve.
Unfortunately, Tillman has also missed 10 games over the last two seasons.
