With the next set of OTAs beginning today, the Cleveland Browns made a roster move by signing cornerback Tyron Herring (6-1, 200 lbs). Herring was an undrafted free agent out of Deleware who signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2025. He didn’t make their final roster, but caught on with the Patriots’ practice squad before landing on Green Bay’s practice squad by the end of the season. He was Dane Brugler’s 59th-ranked cornerback in the 2025 NFL Draft.
To make room for Herring, the Browns waived CB
DeCarlos Nicholson with an injury designation. Nicholson did not participate in OTAs last week. He was one of the team’s 12 undrafted free agent signed following the 2026 NFL Draft. The Browns could be trying to take a look at another young player while Nicholson gets a cleaner bill of health, but it’s possible they have also just moved on from the USC product.
