Deportivo manager Antonio Hidalgo offered a worrying injury update on Barcelona loanee Marc Casado after Sunday’s game against Real Betis in La Liga.
Casado was forced off in the first half of the match after appearing to sustain a fractured collarbone. Hidalgo was asked about Casado after the match and was pretty downbeat with his response.
“They have to run tests on him, but it doesn’t look good,” he told a post-match press conference.
Casado must now wait to discover the severity of the injury but
does appear set for some time on the sidelines.
The midfielder will get the next few weeks off in any case due to the international break but will be hoping he’s not set for a lengthy spell out of action.
The midfielder has moved to Deportivo in a bid to get his career back on track after struggling for minutes at Barcelona under Hansi Flick.
Casado has so far played three times for Deportivo who have made a good start to the season. Hidalgo’s men head into the break in seventh place in the table with 10 points from their first seven matches.
