A true stinker.
Purdue seemed to have little interest at Northwestern yesterday, if you watched one of the four quarters of the game you would probably agree.
The Boilers have now dropped five straight since
starting the season 2-0, albeit against lesser competition.
An oldy but a goodie, here is depression by thr numbers, brought to you by Purdue Football.

The number of Big Ten Games Purdue has lost in a row. It is a tough pill to swallow. Growing up in Tippecanoe County during the Tiller Era taught me good football for one, but also, that upsets can happen on any given Saturday.
The issue is that while Purdue is still a Big Ten mainstay, the gap from the top of the B1G, to the bottom, where we reside, is only getting larger.
There is just one way to fix it too, money. CC Indiana Football.

Eight Penalties for 98 yards. Anytime you get close to 100 yards in penalties, it is darn impossible to win. Purdue has done that on several occasions this year.

The total number of points scored yesterday. I quickly looked at the box scores and was shocked to see that the Boilers managed over 300 total yards of offense, I would have thought it was in the 100s. Nonetheless, there was not a singular point scored against an opponent that Purdue should at least compete with on a yearly basis.

Let’s go with 0 again to round this out. 0-4 in conference play. Can Purdue get their first B1G win next weekend when we host Rutgers?
One can hope…. and pray.
