Mike Perry will be back in action at BKFC 82 early next month and from the sound of it he’ll be fighting to keep his job.
“Platinum” remains one of the biggest stars on the BKFC roster and his upcoming
main event clash with Jeremy Stephens next weekend in Newark, New Jersey, will be another opportunity for Perry to prove he’s one of the baddest dudes in combat sports. Perry could extend his undefeated BKFC record to 6-0 with a win over “Lil Heathen.”
Unfortunately for Perry, winning might not be enough in the eyes of BKFC part-owner, Conor McGregor. That’s because McGregor already put Perry on public blast for getting knocked out by Jake Paul in a boxing match back in July 2024. In fact, McGregor was so upset with Perry’s performance that he tried to fire him from BKFC, even though the fight wasn’t a bareknuckle contest.
Perry, who has options outside of BKFC, quickly fired back at McGregor and claimed the former UFC double champion had no authority to hand him his walking papers. The two have been bickering back-and-forth ever since, but with Perry booked to return to the BKFC ring on Oct. 4 it appears everything is right as rain.
But is it really?
McGregor, who is gearing up for his own combat comeback, took to social media earlier this week to warn Perry that he must perform at his best against Stephens. If not, “Notorious” is ready to fire him again in front of 17,000 BKFC fight fans.
Check it out below:
“Mike Perry is back to @bareknucklefc October 4th, New Jersey, on trial basis only,“ wrote McGregor. “If he underperforms, I SACK HIM AGAIN LIVE IN FRONT OF 17,000 FANS. LIVE ON @DAZN_Sport.“
