After a joint practice earlier in the week between the Bengals and Bears, Cincinnati hosted Chicago in their second preseason game of 2026.
The Bengals dominated in all three phases, moving to 2-0 in the preseason after a 27-9 win inside of Paycor Stadium.
Preseason is the biggest tryout in the world for players looking to make the 53-man roster before Week 1 in the NFL, and the Bengals have quite a few guys making their name heard so far.
One name that all Bengals fans are learning quickly is wide
receiver Dohnte Meyers.
The former CFL standout shined in the Bengals’ first preseason game against the Detroit Lions and picked up right where he left off against the Bears.
The breakout wideout finished with five receptions for 41 yards and one rush for nine yards. He continued to showcase his ability to produce yards after the catch. He also returned two punts for 34 yards and two kickoffs for 54 yards.
It is no secret the Bengals wide receiver room is arguably the deepest position in Cincinnati, but Meyers has shown some flashes that could add another flair to the offense.
The Bengals still have one more preseason game left against the Eagles next week before decisions need to be made, but Meyers has made his case that he deserves a spot on the 2026 roster.
