With free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft now well behind us, we’ve officially entered the lull of the offseason. There will be voluntary and mandatory workouts, but until training camp gets underway things could be rather boring around Cowboys Nation. Because of that, we thought we’d try to liven things up by sharing some of our bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys this season.
1. 11-6 regular-season record
Despite having the fourth-toughest strength of schedule this year, we predict the Cowboys end their two-year playoff drought
and finish with a 11-6 regular-season record. We have them losing to the Eagles, Commanders, Ravens (in Brazil), Seahawks, Rams, and the Texans.
2. NFC East Champions
We predict the Cowboys finish with a 4-2 record in the NFC East division, splitting games with the Eagles and Commanders and sweeping the Giants. As NFC East Champions, they would be in position for a potentially strong playoff run.
3. Super Bowl Contender
After already predicting the Cowboys finish with a 11-6 regular-season record and winning the NFC East division, predicting them to be a serious Super Bowl contender is only fitting. With one of the league’s best offenses and an expected defensive improvement, this team could be dangerous in the playoffs.
4. Top 15 Defense
A Top 15 defense? That’s quite a jump from being arguably the worst defense in the league a season ago, but that’s exactly what we are predicting. First-time DC Christian Parker’s versatile 3-4 scheme and the players he’s added should upgrade the Cowboys defense by leaps and bounds from last year.
5. Caleb Downs wins DROY, makes first Pro Bowl
The Cowboys may have a trade up one spot to draft Caleb Downs 11th overall in the first-round, but in so doing they landed the centerpiece of their defense for years to come. Due to his versatility, play speed, and football IQ we not only predict him to make his first Pro Bowl, but also win Defensive Rookie of the Year as a rookie.
6. Jaishawn Barham finishes with 100+ tackles, 6+ sacks
Shemar James led the team in total tackles (91) as a rookie in 2025 and we predict Jaishawn Barham has similar success in his first-year with the Cowboys. Playing what is expected to be a versatile off-ball LB, edge rusher role we predict he ends the season with 100+ tackles and 6+ sacks in his rookie season.
7. CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens with back-to-back 1,000-yards
CeeDee Lamb (1,077) and George Pickens (1,429) both hit the 1000-yard receiving mark in 2025 and we predict they will do so once again this year. It may be a little harder to accomplish in 2026 though with the expected defensive improvement. They may not have to play from behind as much or have to air it out.
8. Javonte Williams, Jaydon Blue combine for 2,000+ yards
Javonte Williams and Jaydon Blue rushing for 2000+ yards in 2026 hinges largely on what we’ve already predicted as a big defensive improvement. We expect much more ground and pound this year from the rushing attack. We predict around 1,400 rushing yards for Williams and around 600 for Blue.
9. Tyler Guyton, DeMarvion Overshown play every game
How about this for a bold prediction? We predict both Tyler Guyton and DeMarvion Overshown stay healthy and play the entire 2026 season. Both these players have the talent to be above average starters and potential Pro Bowl players, but sadly injuries have thus far prevented them from living up to their potential.
10. Tyler Booker, Cooper Beebe make first Pro Bowl
Dallas had a total of eight Pro Bowl players last year and we predict both Tyler Booker and Cooper Beebe join Caleb Downs adding to that number in 2026. Booker is coming off a solid rookie season is expected to take a big Year 2 jump and if Beebe can stay healthy, he is a real shot of making his first-time Pro Bowl as well.
