Jaguars fans — who will replace Devin Lloyd in Jacksonville’s 2026 starting lineup?
As of now, about two weeks into the new league year, the top two linebackers on the Jaguars’ depth chart are Foye Oluokun and Ventrell Miller. The former is going on his fifth season anchoring the defense,
and the latter was given a real shot to earn the starting job in last year’s training camp.
The job is now Miller’s to lose. He’ll eventually battle against 2025 fourth-rounder Jack Kiser, 2025 UDFA Branson Combs, and whoever else the team adds in the coming months. At this point in free agency, with the top options being gone, the Jaguars figure to wait until the draft and address the position. If they don’t find what they’re hoping for in the college pool, they can revisit the veteran free agent market without worrying about any signings impacting the comp pick formula. Maybe Elandon Roberts will still be available?
“Devin’s impact on our football team over the course of the last year was nothing short of significant,” general manager James Gladstone said recently. “There’s a lot of experience coming back with obviously still room to find ways to improve over the course of the offseason, not including just the draft.”
