In today’s Dub Hub:
- In an interview with 95.7 The Game, Steve Kerr discusses how much he “loves” this year’s Warriors roster.
- Warriors’ $11.33 billion valuation ranks highest among NBA teams, according to Sportico.
- Bob Myers leaves job as ESPN analyst to become president of sports at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment.
Despite an offseason full of uncertainty, the Golden State Warriors may have ended up exactly where they wanted to be. They kept Jonathan Kuminga, added veteran depth with Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, and Seth Curry, and found an intriguing rookie in second-round pick Will Richard — who’s already turned heads with his preseason play.
Add that to a full offseason together for Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler, and suddenly, the Warriors’ roster looks promising.
In a recent
interview with 95.7 The Game, head coach Steve Kerr made it clear just how confident he feels in this year’s group.
“I love the roster,” Kerr said. “And to be honest over my 12 years, I’ve been incredibly blessed with great rosters year in and year out. It’s not always a picture-perfect fit. I think the last few years, the fit has been a little tricky at times, but this feels really good. The puzzle definitely fits well this year.”
It’s a telling statement from a coach who’s seen every phase of Golden State’s dynasty. If the pieces really do fit the way Kerr describes, the Warriors could be poised for another deep run.

“The rest of us have done a good job,” Kerr said. “I think I’ve done a good job. I think Joe’s done a great job as an owner. I think Bob and Mike [Dunleavy] have been good. Draymond’s been good. Everybody. But you take Steph out of this, none of this has happened. And I think we should never forget that. I know I don’t for sure.”

“There’s no sense trying to paint it any other way,” Lacob said on my podcast earlier this week. “If you would’ve asked me, I don’t know, five, 10 years ago, would these guys be playing and playing at this level, with this level of health at age 37 for Steph (and 35 for) Draymond?
“I definitely would not have predicted that. I would have gone with the odds and said, probably not likely.”
