We are back with three more props to play this week as the Bears are rolling, winning 3 straight in impressive fashion. Last week we went 2-1, evening our season record at 12-12. We were a few inches away from 3-0 as the Kalif Raymond screen pass that went for over 40 yards was eventually ruled a lateral and a running play, leaving Raymond with just 14 receiving yards, rather than 56. Doh! Although we did also offer a bonus plus money play of a Jeffery Simmons sack, so hopefully you played that one as well.
But that’s gambling in a nutshell. This week, the Bears welcome in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here are three props to play in this one. As always, lines courtesy of FanDuel.
D’Andre Swift UNDER 62.5 Rushing Yards -114
For the first time this year, we are suggesting playing an under on a Chicago Bears player. The Bucs have a stout running defense that hasn’t really allowed anyone to gain significant yards on the ground. Bijan Robinson got 76 yards on 19 carries, and that’s been the best performance against this Tampa defense. Swift is averaging 3.37 yards per carry since his week one performance against Carolina. This one feels like a 14 carries, for 50 yards type of day for Swift.
Luther Burden OVER 65.5 Receiving Yards -114
The books keep refusing to put a big number next to Luther’s name, and we are going to continue to keep making money if they keep doing that. By my numbers, Burden has gone over in 6 of the 8 games; the two unders were the Minnesota slopfest and the Bagent debacle in Green Bay. They have been keeping Burden’s number in the 50s, and they finally bumped it up into the 60s. I think the Bears’ passing game hums and Burden has another good day.
Caleb Williams OVER 243.5 Passing Yards -114
In Caleb’s 4 games in good conditions this year, he’s averaging over 282 passing yards per game, and that includes defenses like the Patriots and Seahawks. The Bucs have a strong defense, but their run defense is stronger than their pass defense, and Caleb and Ben Johnson are in a groove right now. I think the Bears rely on their passing game and get plenty of yards through the air. Caleb gets at least 260 yards through the air this week as the Bears put up plenty of points, even against a stingy Bucs D.
