Give a sport a Sunday selection process and there’s sure to be controversy. Leave all the arguments and chaos makers in their national pulpits with their Miami and Notre Dame commentaries and hot takes, because we have post season MACtion to discuss. And where there’s a game, there’s a line. And where there’s a line, there’s an opportunity. But first, let’s take a look at the game behind the line.
The 2025 Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl, played on December 27 at Casino Del Sol Stadium in Tucson, Arizona,
will match the Miami RedHawks and the Fresno State Bulldogs (from the Mountain West Conference). Miami arrives with a 7–6 record, coming off a tough loss in the MAC Championship — but with bowl experience and motivation to bounce back. Fresno State — finishing 8–4 under first-year coach Matt Entz — will make its first appearance in this bowl, coming in with a stout defense and a chance to cap a solid season.
What makes this bowl extra interesting is its new identity: thanks to a sponsorship deal, the Arizona Bowl is now branded the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl — presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop — making it the first NCAA-sanctioned bowl game with an alcoholic-beverage sponsor. Expect a mix of mid-major grit and a bit of flair from the entertainment-meets-sports styling, because nothing makes me think college football like Snoop Dogg or gin and juice. But Lord help is, if the MAC wasn’t the conference to be a part of it, I’m not sure I could have ever forgiven the football Gods. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET (2:30 p.m. PT), with live coverage on The CW.
You can find opening odds and current lines for the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl here. At publication, Miami finds themselves a 3.5-point underdog with total line of 44.5. I’ve made a fair bit of scratch wagering on Chuck Martin teams, and I can’t see that stopping. But it may also be entirely likely that by the middle of the third quarter both teams are just looking for snacks and a nap.
Fearless Leader Rapid Reaction Pick: Miami +3.5, under 44.5
Per usual with Fearless Leader picks, don’t wager what you can’t afford to lose and stay within your means and limits. It’s meant to be fun not make you homeless. Having said that, let’s get rich kids.
