Breece Hall is ready for takeoff.
We all held our collective breath when Hall went down with a non-contact injury back in August. Now we can breathe a sigh of relief. The talented tailback has been a full participant for the last two days of practice.
“I feel great,” Hall told the media on Thursday, September 10. “It was actually a very good, like two-week vacation. Yeah, so I could have been out there a little earlier, but the team thankfully was very cautious with me, and it was a really good vacation. I feel really fresh
now.”
The Jets will be running the football a ton in 2026. Hall is a straw that stirs the drink. He got paid like one of the top running backs in football. Now it’s time for him to play like one.
Coming off this injury, the Jets will likely be cautious with Hall’s usage, as they should be. If I were running the operation, 99% of his touches would come in the screen game. We witnessed it when Robert Saleh was here with the Jets. The Kryptonite of Saleh’s aggressive attack-style defense is their over-pursuit, which makes them vulnerable to the screen game. After the Jets got killed by it for years, it’s only right to return serve and kill Saleh and the Titans with that same strategy.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that today is the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. On this somber day, we remember all the men and women who tragically lost their lives that fateful day.
