Josh Hokit will not have his chief coach with him at the UFC White House.
At President Donald Trump’s request, the red-hot Heavyweight contender will make a quick return after his UFC 327 war with Curtis Blaydes (highlights here) to take on longtime knockout king Derrick Lewis in a late addition to the UFC White House event. Hokit is a massive favorite over “The Black Beast,” but could an upset be brewing here? Hokit isn’t going to be able to take much time off after absorbing a ton of punishment from Blaydes, and now he won’t have his main coach with him on fight night. That’s a risky recipe against the heaviest-handed man in UFC history, who will also hold a significant size advantage of “The Incredible Hok.”
… Or maybe this is merely the latest bit from Hokit, who is still as known for his trolling as his fighting.
