Dani Rodriguez is reportedly planning on leaving Barcelona in the summer transfer window in order to seek a new challenge.
The 20-year-old had looked set for a bright future at Barcelona after making his way through the ranks but a series of injuries have disrupted his progress.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Rodriguez has made the decision to move on as he is “aware that his chances with the first team are limited, given that he plays in the same position as Lamine Yamal.”
Rodriguez does still have
a year left to run on his current contract but is hoping offers arrive. Dinamo Zagreb are mentioned as a possible destination if he does leave Barca.
The report adds that Rodriguez could still renew his contract before leaving in a move which would see Barca keep control over his future.
Alternatively, Barcelona could also decide to include a buy-back option in any permanent deal as they have done in several other recent transfers.
