AEW’s OG, Memorial Day weekend pay-per-view (PPV) is in the books. Sun., May 24’s Double or Nothing from Queens, New York closed with Maxwell Jacob Friedman pinning Darby Allin to regain the World championship and keep his hair… right before TNT champion Kevin Knight splashed a defenseless Allin to seemingly turn heel.
That wrapped up an event that, including the Zero Hour pre-show, featured 13 total matches. The main event was one of three title changes from the card’s five championship bouts. But
we also got Stadium Stampede, and saw more pieces of the picture for AEW’s big summer start to come into focus.
And that was just some of the great action on Double or Nothing. That means Tony Khan and the stars of All Elite Wrestling should have plenty to talk about at the media scrum kicking off right about now.
