Cincinnati Bengals safety Jordan Battle will join the U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, or the Blue Angels, for a flight at the CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show later this month.
The fourth-year player will not be flying the plane. Rather, he will be in the back-seat. Still, it will probably be a thrilling experience for Battle.
Here’s an excerpt about the Blue Angels from the Dayton Air Show website:
The precision flight demonstrations showcase the professionalism, excellence and teamwork
found in all Navy and Marine Corps units, as well as provide the thrill and magic of flight to people each year.
Since its inception, the team has flown for more than 450 million spectators worldwide.
A total of 17 officers voluntarily serve with the Blue Angels. Each year the team typically selects three tactical (fighter or fighter/attack) jet pilots, two support officers and one Marine Corps C-130 pilot to relieve departing members.
The show will span from June 13 to June 14. Full-price tickets are $42.
