Your Atlanta Braves have made the playoff eight of the last nine seasons. However, 2025 was brutal. Hold me and let’s never go back to that. We learned a lot, er, maybe not really. We learned Joey Wentz still had something in the summer of 2025, but mostly we learned that a dry October is no fun for anyone. There was a pretty muted celebration in the dugout and clubhouse. So let’s relive the homers until the Braves check off the last 3 from the NL East Division magic number, why not?
Hey, we’ve been pretty clear about the “pull the ball” stance here at Battery Power. Maybe we should amend this somewhat for Daikin Park in Houston and their Crawford Boxes. They are like 200 feet from home plate, after all. If you’ve ever been in the Crawford Boxes like I have, you’ll know that you feel like you’re in the left fielder’s lap. So surely that’s what Michael had on his mind.
Check that pulse, will you?
Dugout is loving that.

Next up is Ronald Acuña’s rocket. Here he is coiled and ready.
Gonna beat that chest. gonna celebrate.

I don’t feel that we talk enough about Matt Olson and the historic work he’s doing with his power. And I should absolutely address it next week. But right now, let’slook at the fortieth.
Coming this Friday: Taste This Disappointment, starring Matt Olson

Hey, he’s not above peekaboo.
That’s where the ball hit.
After the win, celebrations were pretty muted as expected.
Matt is still annoyed at that pitch location.
Hey, I’m smiling and having a good time even if Matt refuses to show it. Walt Weiss with the last word.
