Indiana women’s basketball landed its first transfer addition of the 2026 offseason on Monday afternoon.
Alisa Williams, who spent the past three seasons with Iowa State, announced her commitment to the Hoosiers via social media. Indiana announced her signing shortly after in an official release. Williams appeared in all 32 of Iowa State’s games this past season, making two starts. She averaged 4.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.6 assists while shooting 53.9% from the field in 11.9 minutes per game.
Williams
began her collegiate career at LSU, spending one season with the Tigers and winning a national championship in 2022-23 before transferring to Iowa State, redshirting in 2023-24. She’s originally from Denton, Texas, and attended Dr. Ray Braswell High School.
First thoughts
Indiana needed depth in the frontcourt with Edessa Noyan’s planned entry into the transfer portal. With Zania Socka-Nguemen set to return, Williams provides some of that alongside freshman Zoe Jackson.
