Broncos Country, it’s officially NFL Draft Week and you know what that means. Our annual Mile High Report NFL Draft Roundtable discussions are back! For our first installment, I asked the staff what position groups they would like to see the team address with their slate of selections in the 2026 NFL Draft.
For our second installment, I thought I’d ask them who some of their favorite prospects are in this year’s draft. We have covered a lot of prospects in our draft profile segments, but a handful
of players definitely came away as favorites from the folks on staff.
With that in mind I asked the staff “What prospects would you like the Broncos to select in the 2026 NFL Draft?”
Taylor Kothe
I’m intrigued by Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers. I know there’s extra projection involved with him and that he still needs more development at the position than you’d like to see for a probable second-round pick. But he seems like exactly the kind of do-it-all offensive weapon Sean Payton likes. A converted quarterback, I could absolutely see him being a new Taysom Hill. And while that may not lead to statistical excellence at any one specific role, it stresses defenses and can open up opportunities for the offense.
Tim Lynch
The more I see of Anthony Hill Jr, the more I want Denver to figure out a way to get him on this roster under Vance Joseph. It’s time for Denver to find that 10-year beast at the ILB position. It’s been a long time since they’ve had a guy like that inside. Go get him!
Ross Allen
If the Broncos can get their hands on him, then I’d be a huge fan of them drafting Boise State’s Kage Casey. He’s a two-time 2nd Team All-American and a big guy at 6’6” and 310 pounds. He is athletic, strong, very durable, and is known by his teammates as a work horse. Also, Denver has good history when it comes to offensive linemen from Boise State.
Sadaraine
Since my dream of Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq died when the Bronocs traded for Jaylen Waddle, I’m with many others in thinking that Eli Stowers makes a lot of sense of he is there in the second round. We don’t need an immediate fix at tight end, and he has a ton of upside from I have seen.
Christopher Hart
I’m also a big fan of Anthony Hill Jr. and Eli Stowers. Those were two players that I identified early on in my Future Broncos segments last fall as great fits for the Broncos. Stowers’ profile aligns with the big bodied, athletic pass catcher Head Coach Sean Payton covets and Hill Jr. is a fantastic fit for Joseph’s defensive scheme with his blitzing prowess, range, and penchant for creating turnovers.
If the Broncos wanted to draft a running back, I think that Washington standout Jonah Coleman is a great fit and believe Kayton Allen of Penn State would be a good insurance policy for J.K. Dobbins. My gut tells me Coleman finds a home on Day 2, whereas Allen is more of an early Day 3 pick.
On the defensive line, I’m a big fan of Missouri’s Chris McClellan as a prospect who can come in and eventually help offset the departure of John Franklin-Myers. He is someone the Broncos’ brass has shown a lot of interest in. I like Drew Shelton and Jude Bowry as developmental offensive tackle prospects.
Michigan defender Jaishawn Barham fits the mold of hybrid prospect Vance Joseph values. Other prospects of interest are Sam Roush, Marlin Klein, and Jack Endries at tight end. Defensive backs Kamari Ramsey, Bishop Fitzgerald, and Jalon Kilgore also seem like nice fits for Denver. I’d be pretty stoked if a handful of these guys wound be being Broncos by the end of the draft.
