Like many fans, Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala might have been a little uneasy about how the squad looked against VfB Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal finale.
Eventually, FC Bayern would pull away for a 3-0 victory behind a hat-trick effort from English superstar Harry Kane. For Musiala, it was all in the cards.
“This is what you expect in a final – we gave it our all. Now we can celebrate and enjoy it,” Musiala said (as captured by FCBayern.com).
For Musiala, it was not exactly a banner effort as he struggled
to assert himself into the match. While he did complete 80% of his passes, Musiala struggled with decision-making and control as he lost possession 12 times on 32 touches. Moreover, Musiala scuffled to get into the flow of the attack as we had seen in some previous appearances.
Surely, there are better times ahead for Musiala, but the youngster might have to be a little more open to adapting to playing with Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Luis Díaz than he was in his return from injury this season.
After the World Cup, Musiala will have time to get himself right both physically and mentally, which should help him prepare for what could be an awesome 2026/27 campaign.
