According to the Utah Jazz, they have signed Oscar Tshiebwe to a two-way contract.
Tshiebwe was a fan favorite last season and became popular because of his incredible rebounding in the G-League. He averaged 19 rebounds per game in the G-League and even put up a 30-rebound game.
But his numbers were interesting with the Jazz as
well when he got opportunities to play.
We’ll see if he gets minutes again for the Jazz this season. His numbers came last year as the Jazz were tanking to end the year and improve their draft position. That said, the numbers were good, and we’ll see if he can put up better numbers with time.
Tshiebwe is undersized to play center at 6’8”, but his incredible rebounding might just make him interesting enough to give more time next year. At the very least, he can bring some depth that may be valuable if any moves are made next season.
