As Chris Eubank Jr puts the finishing touches on his training camp ahead of this weekend’s rematch with Conor Benn, DAZN takes fans into Eubank’s camp where he’s working with trainer Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre
to get what he expects will be a more emphatic win over Benn this time around. In order to do so Eubank explains how he’s been punishing himself in camp so that he can be well prepared for what he’s about to face.
“Training camp’s tough,” Eubank Jr said. “A lot of time camps are harder than the actual fight because it’s weeks and months and days and days of continuous pain and struggle and you got to push as hard as you can because when it’s all said and done, when that bell goes, the man who pushed himself harder in training, the man who put his body through the most stress, the man who put himself in the most uncomfortable positions he could — that man is that man that’s going to win. You saw it in those last two rounds of that last fight. It came down to who wants it more. That was me.”
In the lead up to the fight Eubank Jr has also expressed that he’ll be coming into this rematch with a better game plan under BoMac, and expects a new approach to making weight will leave him less drained than he felt in the ring the first time around.
