A little late getting the open thread out, but there was no Friday game and there’s plenty of exciting Bundesliga fixtures left to discuss. I was preoccupied by Naoyo Inoue vs Junto Nakatani at the Tokyo Dome earlier today. It was an excellent fight.
Can the Bundesliga offer anything of a similar level? Bayer Leverkusen vs RB Leipzig could be a lot of fun. Leverkusen need the win to give themselves a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League, and with Hoffenheim and Stuttgart drawing 3-3,
three points would see Die Werkself go into the top four on goal difference. Predicting Ball gives them the slight edge, with a 44.4% win probability versus Leipzig’s 31.6%.
Here is the rest of this weekend’s Bundesliga schedule:
Saturday:
- Bayern Munich 3-3 Heidenheim
- Eintracht Frankfurt 1-2 Hamburg
- Hoffenheim 3-3 VfB Stuttgart
- Union Berlin 2-2 FC Köln
- Werder Bremen 1-3 Augsburg
- Bayer Leverkusen vs RB Leipzig
Sunday:
- St. Pauli vs Mainz
- Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Borussia Dortmund
- Freiburg vs Wolfsburg
The same rules apply as the BVB match threads, though I’m hoping tempers are less likely to flare in these threads. But as a reminder, here are the match thread rules:
- Exercise common sense. We allow profanity, adult humor, and other forms of crudeness within reason, but of course there are lines. Hateful language will not be tolerated. Exceptionally violent language (especially directed at specific people) will not be tolerated. Before you type, ask yourself, “Would I have a reasonable expectation of being thrown out of a bar in an average city if I said something like this?”
- Be respectful. There will definitely be times when everyone is upset and disagreements get heated, and that’s fine, but remember that we’re all rooting for the same team. Keep arguments based on substance and not personal insults.
- No sharing illegal streams. NONE. Zero tolerance.
- No spam. I have no interest in whatever crypto scheme you’re shilling. You will be banned.
Enjoy the game! Heja BVB!
