Well, the defense was a question mark before the game even started, and now the Arizona Cardinals could be without the guy they had hoped would be their best pass rusher in 2026 in Josh Sweat, who is now questionable with a groin injury.
The Cardinals pass rusher was held out for his normal rest on Wednesday, was full on Thursday and
then could not go fully on Friday.
Sweat has been mostly a no show in 2026, so maybe this is a problem that has been lingering for the pass rusher and missing a game early could make things better late, but the Cardinals pass rush has been bad, and Sweat needs to be out there to make you feel better about their chances.
If he doesn’t go, you’d assume it is Baron Browning, and then potentially more time for Jordan Burch, but the Cardinals have a tough matchup either way with Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor manning the tackle positions.
