Boston Legacy has announced Venezuelan international Bárbara Olivieri as their latest signing after paying $100,00 in intra-league transfer funds. This includes an additional $65,000 in performance-based incentives.
This is the club’s first ever transfer.
“Olivieri is a creative and dynamic player who despite her young age brings us a wealth of experience both domestically and internationally. As a regular in the NWSL, she has impacted high level games. She suits the team’s style of play and will be
a strong addition to what we continue to build at Boston Legacy FC,” said General Manager Domè Guasch. “We are thrilled to welcome Barb to Boston, and our fans can look forward to the impact that she will have on and off the field.”

With play for the expansion side not starting until 2026, Olivieri will now head to Liga MX Femenil’s Tigres on loan for the remainder of the season. She also had a stint in that league for Rayadas in 2022-23.
This signing for Tigres makes sense and more so after Jacqui Ovalle left the team to become the latest Orlando Pride signing.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Barbara for her time with the Dash and the passion she brought to our club,” President of Soccer, Angela Hucles Mangano said. “Barbara is a talented player with a bright future, and this move gives her an opportunity to embark on a new challenge.”
Olivieri scored six goals and tallied four assists across 44 regular-season appearances for Houston. To add more, she’s a member of the Venezuelan Women’s National Team and represented Venezuela at the youth level as well. She recently joined Venezuela to compete at the 2025 Copa America Femenina in Ecuador.
