Indiana football continues building out its wide receivers room ahead of the 2026 season.
Shazz Preston, a junior wide receiver formerly of Tulane, committed to join the Hoosiers out of the transfer portal on Monday, he confirmed on Twitter. He’s rated as a 3-star prospect and ranks in as the 52nd highest-rated wide receiver and 324th highest-rated prospect overall, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. Before Tulane, he spent two seasons at Alabama.
He broke out in 2025 after posting meager stats in his
first season with the Green Wave in 2024, hauling in 43 receptions for 723 yards and six touchdowns. He was Tulane’s leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns during the 2025 season.
Indiana isn’t a stranger to bolstering its wide receivers room through the portal, adding plenty of targets for quarterback Kurtis Rourke ahead of the 2024 season before leaning on returning production in 2025. It’ll be interesting to see what role Preston can carve out for the offense in 2026.
