These are not good days at Juventus — both with the club’s form and just the overall feeling about how quickly this early stage of the 2025-26 season has turned from a positive start to anything but that.
It has resulted in the some portions of the Italian press suggesting that Igor Tudor’s time is suddenly limited as the manager at Juventus, a club he played for as a player and then returned in an interim basis after Thiago Motta was fired last March.
Tudor has been strong is his words — he said he doesn’t
pay attention to pretty much anything the press says when his team is both winning and losing. It was no different as Tudor talked to the Italian media on Saturday ahead of Juventus’ Sunday night matchup against Lazio, who he managed for all of three months in 2024 after replacing Maurizio Sarri — who, ironically, is now back with the Biancocelesti — before leaving in the summer due to disagreements with the club’s management.
So when it comes to potentially being sacked by Juventus if the poor run of form continues, Tudor said the following:
“Honestly, I don’t have this fear, not at all. I enjoy it, even in difficulties. I’m aware of what’s around me. It’s all clear to me. When you see things clearly, you have a strength that you wouldn’t have had in other moments. I think about how to motivate players, make them rest, and find solutions. That’s what I think about. As for the future, I am not concerned, aside from tomorrow’s game.
“I’m okay. I don’t think about myself. I try to find the best solutions. The feeling after Madrid is positive, despite the defeat. The team is there, and also the desire to do and give what we have, trying to win games. Tomorrow we face a high-level team, so we must be ready.”

Since winning their opening three Serie A fixtures of the season under Tudor — who was confirmed as manager and given a two-year contract extension back in mid-June prior to the Club World Cup — the Bianconeri have seen their form hit the skids. They’re winless in their last seven games, including back-to-back losses to Como and Real Madrid within the span of four days to come out of the October international break.
As they head to Rome to face Lazio on Sunday night, Juve are six points off league-leading Napoli, who took advantage of Milan’s late draw with Pisa and leapfrogged Max Allegri’s squad in the Serie A standings with their win over Inter Milan on Saturday night.
Regardless of the form, Tudor has said that “there are no problems” with the squad he has at his disposal.
“There are no problems, nothing specific. We have the players with their quality, then each coach makes their choices, depending on the game too. Some time is always needed to settle in, but they are all guys who are committed and give their best.”
After Juventus face Lazio on Sunday, they have another midweek fixture, this time against Udinese before facing Cremonese in Cremona on the first day of November.
