Former Barcelona striker Pau Victor has offered a little bit of insight into what it’s like to work under Hansi Flick at Camp Nou.
The German coach is known for his intensity and to demand a lot from his players both in matches and on the training ground.
Victor admitted sessions can be brutal at times – remembering a clip that went viral where he and Gavi were shown collapsing in a heap after one particular play.
“Flick demands a lot from you in training, in more than one session I left feeling dizzy,”
he told Cadena Ser.
He went on to add: “[Flick] likes hard-working players, who stay in the gym after training. He really values these little details.”
There was also praise for captain Raphinha, who has made an impressive start to the season for Barcelona.
“Raphinha is spectacular, his ability to defend and attack at the same time is brilliant and he finishes every play with a goal. He’s an incredible player, but as a person he’s even better,” he added.
Victor left Barcelona for Braga in 2025 and says he’s “very happy” in Portugal. He netted 15 times in his debut campaign and has scored five already in 2026-27.
