The Buffalo Bills concluded their three-day mandatory minicamp on Thursday. As the team heads into a six-week break for summer vacation, the Bills took care of one last piece of unfinished business: agreeing to terms with offensive lineman Jude Bowry on his four-year rookie contract.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by discussing the news that with the versatile Bowry having signed his rookie deal, the Bills now have all 10 of their rookies under contract.
OT Jude Bowry last Bill to sign rookie deal
Jude Bowry was chosen by the
Bills with the No. 102 overall selection in the fourth round, and on Friday, Bowry and the Bills came to terms on a four-year rookie deal, a move that means Buffalo has now signed their entire rookie class as the team goes into a break before gathering for training camp at St. John Fisher University in suburban Rochester.
Bowry, who took part in rookie minicamp, Organized Team Activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp, is expected to become a key member of Buffalo’s offensive line. He is coming off a senior season at Boston College where he did not allow a sack all year over 320 dropback snaps.
Listed at 6’5” and 314 pounds, Bowry is a versatile offensive lineman who can play tackle or guard. With BC, Bowry played in 31 games and made 23 starts and spent a majority of his time at left tackle.
