Raphinha’s future at Barcelona keeps on being talked about amid continued interest from Saudi Arabia and talk of an €80 million offer.
Former Brazilian World Cup winner Vampeta has controversially claimed that Raphinha needs the move to help ease his family’s financial isssues.
“Raphinha is going through a serious family problem, in addition to financial difficulties. He’s praying to see if he can go to Al Hilal. He’s dealing with this situation,” he said on the ‘RedCast’ podcast.
Per Marca, the claim
was swiftly dismissed by Raphinha’s cousin Igor Padilha who replied: “You’ll have to explain these lies, my friend.”
Meanwhile, Raphinha is currently undergoing treatment for an injury sustained at World Cup 2026 that has put his involvement in the tournament in doubt.
The Barcelona star is set to miss Brazil’s final group game against Scotland on Wednesday and there are doubts over whether he will feature again for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
