A star-studded broadcast team is set for this weekend’s MVP MMA event.
Promotional officials confirmed the broadcast details to MMA Fighting for Rousey vs. Carano, which takes place Saturday night at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., and streams exclusively on Netflix. Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano is set for the main event in a featherweight contest.
On Saturday night’s broadcast, Mauro Ranallo will handle the play-by-play, with former UFC fighter and broadcaster Kenny Florian joining as color
commentator. Sibley Scoles will be roving reporter, with Sean Wheelock on rules and scoring duty.
The analyst desk will be led by Elle Duncan, who will be joined by former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and veteran journalist Ariel Helwani. Guests joining the desk throughout the night include former UFC champs Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez, along with Cat Zingano.
The preliminary card kicks off at 6 p.m. ET on the MVP YouTube channel, with the main card on Netflix beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
For the rest of fight week, Scoles is set to serve as cageside reporter during Wednesday’s open workouts, while Kody “Big Mo” Mommaerts — who will be the ring announcer for fight night — serves as emcee. The workouts begin at 9 p.m. ET on the MVP YouTube channel.
Helwani hosts the press conference on Thursday, featuring the entire lineup, while the ceremonial weigh-ins feature Scoles as host, along with Woodley and Florian serving as analysts, additional reporting from Helwani, and bonus commentary from Velasquez. The ceremonial weigh-ins and press conference both kick off at 9 p.m. ET on the MVP YouTube channel.
