So, who could it be realistically?
For people already in AEW, the return of Toni Storm would tear the roof off. Kris Statlander would be a smart option for a great match. Skye Blue would inspire a hometown pop from the Chicago crowd.
I assume ‘outside’ means a Forbidden Door talent exchange. Stardom has no shortage of challengers. Perhaps new MLP Canadian women’s champion Priscilla Kelly gets the nod. I don’t think any luchadoras from CMLL would move the needle for live fans, except Tessa Blanchard. That is risky to find out if the needle moves in a good way or a bad way.
Many hope for the sizzle of a new debut from free agency. Three names pop up most commonly on that list. Kairi Sane, Mara Sade, and Dani Luna.
