Barcelona starlet Toni Fernandez is reportedly giving serious consideration to a move to Italy to play in Serie A for Venezia.
According to Diario Sport, Fernandez has offers from “the Bundesliga, Serie A and the Premier League” but is tempted by the prospect of heading to Italy with Venezia. The report adds that the Venezia option is currently the “most advanced.”
Venezia are back in Serie A this season and have big ambitions. They are keen to snap up exciting young talent and could offer Fernandez
the chance to play an important role.
Gianluca Di Marzio is also reporting on Venezia’s interest in Fernandez and says the club is “close to finalizing a deal” for the Barca youngster.
If the deal goes ahead, Fernandez is expected to move on a permanent transfer but Barcelona will include some kind of buy-back option.
Fernandez, and cousin Guille, are both expected to depart before the transfer window closes, along with Marc Casado, who has also been deemed surplus to requirements.
