The season is finally here! The long wait for the new college football season is finally over.
All of us have pondered long enough on how Coach Lane Kiffin and his staff will fare after losing big time players like Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris and Walter Nolen, all playing in the NFL now. Perhaps an College Football Playoff expectation is a little lofty but eight wins sounds like a minimum requirement and even that might not keep Rebel fans happy.
So how does the EA Sports College Football 26 video game
see the Ole Miss Football season going?
Schedule Breakdown
31 – 27 win over Georgia St
14 – 44 loss at Kentucky (damn Kentucky)
56 – 31 win vs Arkansas
41 – 27 win vs No. 25 Tulane
40 – 42 loss vs LSU
40 – 14 win vs Washington State
24 – 37 loss at No. 3 Georgia
24 – 20 win at No. 8 Oklahoma
10 – 42 loss vs No. 9 South Carolina
49 – 0 win vs FCS Southeast
36 – 34 win vs Florida
54 – 21 win at Mississippi State
48 – 10 win vs West Virginia in the Texas Bowl
A loss at Kentucky and another heart breaker against LSU would probably send the majority of the fan base into a deep depression. Losing at Georgia is likely understandable followed by a top 10 road win in Norman would maybe revitalize some, but three losses is already a nail in the coffin. Getting trounced at home by freaking Shane Beamer would probably drive attendance and viewership to the few hundreds the rest of the season. The standard has been raised and 9-4 won’t make anyone happy.
